The Nice Eagles were defeated last night with a score of 3-1 in the first match of the French Division 1 championship final. The Eagles have no choice but to win on Saturday night to secure a third match the following day.

And yet, the Eagles quickly got into the game. From the first minutes, the team from the French Riviera created numerous opportunities. After a few minutes, Stan Sutor’s men had a power play, but were unable to capitalize. The end of the first period concluded with a score of 0-0, with 14 shots on target for Nice compared to 4 for Mulhouse!

In the second period, the Scorpions woke up. The Eagles committed a foul, giving the Mulhouse team a power play. Encouraged by their fans, the Scorpions opened the scoring 1-0. This period was more balanced, but the Eagles had a few good chances to equalize, to no avail…

In the third period, the Eagles thought they had achieved the hardest part when Michal DIAN finally found the back of the net (1-1), but last night, it was the Scorpions who were more opportunistic. The match ended 3-1 for Mulhouse.
