Hockey (French Cup): Will Nice make it to the “final four”?

Latest News

This Tuesday, December 18, and Wednesday, December 19, the quarterfinals of the Coupe de France will take place. Dunkerque is the only Division 1 team remaining at this stage of the competition and will host Strasbourg.

The other matches feature teams from the elite: Nice hosts defending champion Lyon, Chamonix welcomes Angers, and Anglet hosts Amiens.

Everyone has the Final 4 in mind, on February 16 and 17, 2019, at the AccorHotels Arena.

Nice welcomes Lyon to Jean Bouin tonight. Both teams are experiencing slight difficulties in the championship, ranked ninth and eighth respectively.

The Eagles nonetheless rely on the best attack behind the league’s leading duo. Lyon, on the other hand, has a relatively low total number of goals in SLM. Both teams have been inconsistent this season; Nice hasn’t achieved two consecutive victories in the league for the past two months, and the same goes for the Lions.

Inconsistent results may be forgiven if they qualify for the final four, as both teams have beaten each other once this season. The decisive match will have a special flavor given the stakes.
