After their heavy defeat against the Chamonix Pioneers (7-0), the Nice team had no choice but to recover at home to hope to reclaim the eighth place.
Unfortunately for them, that was not the case, and the Eagles recorded a new defeat (6-7) against Cergy-Pontains.
A disastrous first period of the match (1-4) took away any chance for the home team to earn three valuable points in the battle for qualification. After a score of 2-5 in the second period, the comeback attempt was unsuccessful, and it was the Jokers who left with the three points in their pocket.
Fortunately, neither Bordeaux nor Chamonix lost their match against their opponents during this round.
The final sprint has begun, and the team from Nice approaches it in a difficult position but with hope. The next match is scheduled for Friday, and the Eagles will pay a visit to the Parisian Jokers… an opportunity for revenge?
