Grenoble was too strong for the Eagles (5-1) and the game was decided in the first ten minutes of the first period when the Brรปleurs de Loups scored twice (Sacha Treille and Jere Rouhiainen).
Then the Alpins controlled the game and, after the Nice goal in the second period (Radomir Heizer), they stepped on the gas and quickly widened the gap (4-1), with another goal from Jere Rouhiainen and a goal from Aurรฉlien Dair.
A fifth goal (Nicolas Deschamps) at the end of the match sealed the Brรปleurs’ overwhelming superiority and left the Eagles on the sidelines.
Bordeaux’s concurrent victory relegated Nice to the 8th and last qualifying place ahead of Chamonix.
