Faced with a tough team that never admitted defeat, Stan Sutor’s men played a disciplined game and, after opening the scoring early in the first period through Danick Crête, managed the match by maintaining the pace so as not to cede control of the game to the Alpine team.
Contrarily, it was Romain Carpentier who widened the gap in the second period, securing the result.
The Briançon team’s goal at the end of the match was merely a consolation for a team that never gave up.
