The first of a long series of home games, Nice-Anglet concluded with a clear victory for the Eagles who secured all three points.
However, last night at Jean Bouin, not everything went smoothly between two teams in need of points to improve their standings. Ultimately, it was Nice that took advantage.
Nice’s Ondrej Kopta scored first while shorthanded, but two minutes later, the Anglet team was leading!
This explosive start signaled a match full of goals, which indeed proved to be the case. The Eagles then equalized through Lucas Bonnardel, who scored twice on the power play that night. They would then soar to the three points in the second period, which they won 3-1.
Nice is now five points ahead of Anglet in the standings.
