The Nice Eagles were heavily defeated away at Rouen (6-1), the leader of the Ligue Magnus.
There was no surprise between the championship leader and a southern team attempting to secure its playoff spot at the end of the season.
Rouen made quick work of Nice and was leading 3-0 at the end of the first period.
The team from Nice managed to get back to 3-1 at the start of the third period, but the superiority of Rouen prevailed. The Normans scored another 3 goals to ultimately secure a 6-1 victory.
At the same time, Mulhouse lost at home to Lyon (5-2) while Épinal was defeated at home by Bordeaux (0-1).
No change in the standings. Nice will host Grenoble (2nd) in the next round.
