Hockey (Quarterfinals – Game 2): Grenoble strikes again (6-1), Nice trailing 2-0 in the series

Latest News

After a wide victory in the first game, Grenoble repeated their performance against the Eagles at Polesud (6-1). The scores: 3-0, 1-1, 2-0.

The BDL lead 2 to 0 in the series.

The Brûleurs de Loups have therefore completed half of the journey needed to reach the semi-finals after a solid 6 to 1 victory over the Nice Eagles.

Heavily defeated the day before, the Nice team tried to enter the game aggressively and with determination. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Sébastien “speedy” Rohat opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a nice long shot. Taking advantage of a power play, D. Fleury found the Nice goalkeeper’s net in the 11th minute. The Nice team did not give up and tried to respond, but J. Champagne quickly quieted their efforts by scoring the third goal of the match, just two minutes after the previous one. The Grenoble team led 3-0 at the end of 13 minutes of play.

Returning from the locker room, it only took 8 minutes for Teddy Da Costa to score the 4th goal, his 2nd in 2 games, thanks to an assist from P. Mc Eachen. But the joy was short-lived for Polesud, as, inexplicably, Ramajaki narrowed the score for the Azureans two minutes later.

This did not stop the Dauphiné team, who, just after returning from the locker room, widened the gap again thanks to a goal by Guillaume Leclerc. Not the prettiest he has scored this season, but it counted just as much.
In this well-controlled third period, Sacha Treille, deflecting a shot from P. McEachen, concluded the offensive festival of the Brûleurs de Loups.

See you on Tuesday and Wednesday at Jean Bouin.
