With a beautiful and convincing victory on the Strasbourg rink, the Eagles finish the season in style.
The objective of maintaining their status reached after three games in the retention group, Stan Sutor’s men eased off and lost the two successive games.
The last game of the season was an opportunity for one last feat: winning in Strasbourg (4-3).
The match was anything but easy, and the first period saw the locals take the lead (2-1, Montenoise scoring for Nice). Vondracek brought the two teams level in the second period, before Biscard and Romand gave their team a double advantage, with Strasbourg’s last goal being merely anecdotal.
A great final performance for a great season. See you at the 2017-8 championship which will have the Eagles at the starting line.
