Hockey: The Eagles lose with honor at the leader’s venue

Latest News

The Dragons prevail at the end of another closely contested game against the Niçois and secure their fourth victory of the season.

They are undoubtedly too much (and unpalatable) for the Azuréens, even though, just like at Jean Bouin a week ago (2-1 for Rouen), Stan Sutor’s players came within a whisker of an upset: at two minutes and 19 seconds before the end, the two teams were tied following goals from J Tarkkanen (II/T) and T Rajamaki (III/T).

A good amount of credit for this victory goes to Matija Pintaric, who delivered a solid performance with 35 saves.

The Niçois remain 8th in the standings with 43 points, 4 points ahead of Lyon but having played 2 more matches than their competitor.

The championship will pause for a week for the Coupe de France, which will be played next weekend in Paris.

Nice will host Angers on the 22nd of January.
