On the men’s side, it was Holger Rune (Denmark) and Leandro Riedi (Switzerland) who faced off on the court. After just over an hour and seven minutes of play, Leandro Riedi gave his team a glimmer of hope by winning the match in two sets (6-4 / 6-3).
Switzerland takes a strong position
In the final mixed doubles match of the day, the Swiss duo Céline Naef and Leandro ultimately overcame the Danish team in two sets over the course of an hour and twelve minutes. After a rather close first set (6-4), the second was more decisive despite a strong start from the Danish pair (6-3).
However, there’s little time to rest as Denmark will face the French tomorrow! Richard Gasquet and local player Alizé Cornet will have the home advantage against the already determined Danish team.
