Hungarian GP: F1 drivers honor the memory of their colleague: Ciao Jules

Latest News

A poignant tribute to the French driver Jules Bianchi, who passed away on July 17, took place on Sunday on the starting grid of the Hungarian Grand Prix with the attendance of his family who came from Nice.

Fifteen minutes before the start, the 20 drivers gathered in a circle around their helmets and Bianchi’s helmet, who passed away at 25, placed on the asphalt of the Hungaroring by his younger brother Tom.

The drivers, the Bianchi family, and Jules’ agent, Nicolas Todt, then listened in silence to the Hungarian anthem, sung slowly like a requiem by a soprano accompanied by a chamber orchestra.
