The city of Nice is organizing, with former world karate champion Christophe Pinna, the International half-marathon on the upcoming May 22nd. Training sessions are planned to prepare for the event.
For 14 years, the city of Nice, in partnership with former karate champion Christophe Pinna, has been organizing various sporting events with the help of the metropolis. Again this year, sports activities and competitions are on the program. The International half-marathon will be held on May 22nd. To participate in this race, three steps must be completed: registration on the website, runner selection, and training sessions with Christophe Pinna.
Registration takes place from February 14th to March 11th. Fifty candidates are selected. It is specified on the website that registration commits participants to:
– Reside in Nice
– Be between 18 and 65 years old
– Attend all training sessions
– Be present on the day of the half-marathon
– Wear the “J’me bouge” t-shirt
– Possess a medical certificate of “no contraindication for competitive running”
– Have a valid vaccination pass
The training schedules are:
– Sunday, March 27th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
– Sunday, April 3rd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
– Sunday, May 8th and 15th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
The sports program “J’me bouge” was created in 2008. Christian Estrosi aims to develop sports in the city of Nice and has entrusted this mission to Christophe Pinna. The objective is to help men and women strengthen themselves physically and mentally and prepare for competitions or sports events. This can include marathons, trails, tennis tournaments, karate, etc. This program is also designed to introduce new activities to the people of Nice for free. Open water swimming, paddle-boarding, cycling, outdoor activities, or running. More than 3,000 people from Nice have already participated in the “J’me bouge” operations.
