The carousel of departures and arrivals continues for the Nice club, which wishes to prepare as best as possible for the next season. In terms of departures, Nathan Bernier leaves the club while Joni Raikkonen signs on for an additional season on the ice of Jean Bouin.
Nathan Bernier (23 years old, 1.79m, 83 kg) will no longer be an Eagle come September. Having arrived two years ago from Grenoble, he played a total of 58 matches in the Nice jersey and did a very good job as a coach with the juniors.
On the positive side, the strong Finnish defender, Joni Raikkonen (23 years old, 1.89m, 93 kg) re-signs for an additional season in Nice.
He arrived on the Cรดte dโAzur mid-season 2011/2012 following the retirement of the Eagles’ captain Tomas Banas.
With 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists) in 50 matches, Joni is a key player in the Eagles’ lineup.
