The Eagles are therefore complete. Since Monday, the Azuréens have been training hard to be ready for the first regular season, on September 8.
The Finnish forward, Joonas SAARI, will ultimately not be part of Stan Sutor’s squad this season. To replace him, the Nice management has enlisted another Finn, Joona Peränen.
The Eagles’ No. 87 played in the Finnish second tier (Mestis League) and was selected for the Finnish U17 and then U18 national teams.
Another newcomer on the Nice side, someone who won’t be unfamiliar to you, is the Slovak defenseman, Martin Dubaj. The Eagles’ No. 21 thus rejoins the NHCA after 3 seasons away from Nice, including a stint in the ExtraLigua, and will therefore be undertaking his 8th season in the Eagles’ colors.
Joni Räikkönen, due to internal club reasons, will return to competition mid-season.
