While away, the Eagles of Nice found their smiles again in the Synerglace Ligue Magnus by easily defeating the last place team, the รtoile Noire de Strasbourg. This 36th day marks the end of a series of three consecutive defeats (against Angers, Rouen, and Strasbourg).
The 914 supporters present at ‘The Iceberg’ witnessed the splendid performance of the Nice team, eager to make up for their previous outings.
Stanislav Sutor and his men faced no concerns throughout the evening. After one and a half periods, the Eagles were leading 4-0. At the end of the second period, the Alsatians attempted a comeback with a double by Ondrej Havlicek. Unfortunately for them, the team from the Cรดte d’Azur proved superior in every aspect of the game, particularly with the man of the match Jusso Perttila scoring a hat-trick. Other scorers for Nice were Frederic Bergeron and Matus Matis.
Nice climbs to seventh place in the standings with 46 points, tied with Bordeaux in sixth. Meanwhile, Strasbourg continues to struggle at the bottom with 28 points.
