In October 2018, Ikea announced the creation of a 35th store in France, located in Nice. For over 3 years, the construction has progressed well and the recruitment campaign has just been launched.
The people of Nice can be happy, the opening of the Ikea site is approaching. The new Ikea store in Nice will open its doors in spring 2022, in the eco-district Saint-Isidore, near the OGC Nice Stadium.
The new store of the Swedish brand will perfectly fit into this new district, with a blue enamel glass facade, 7,000 m² of green solar panels, and many landscaped areas. The people of Nice will no longer have to go all the way to Toulon to redesign their homes and will soon be able to access a 24,000 square meter complex just 15 minutes by tram from the city center.
Another piece of good news for the residents of the Côte d’Azur who are fans of furniture and decorations: they will be able to work there! Indeed, the announcement had already been made a few months ago; it’s the people of Nice who will be recruited as a priority at this new Ikea.
About fifty residents of Nissa la Bella have already been recruited to form management, logistics, and interior design teams.
Ikea France has just announced that the largest phase of the campaign is opening today. The brand is launching a search for about 400 full-time or part-time collaborators in various fields such as sales (over 70 positions), logistics (over 50 positions), customer relations (over 25 positions), and even catering (over 25 positions) for a job start in mid-February 2022.
