The Nice District Court orders the eviction

โ€œThe Nice District Court has just decided to evict the 115 asylum seekers who have been illegally occupying, for over a month now, a building located on Avenue Georges Clemenceau in Nice, owned by the CHU.
This decision is entirely logical. This occupation is both illegal and dangerous for the occupants of this dilapidated building.
The Court’s decision condemns the initiative of the associations that, through their irresponsible behavior, led the asylum seekers into this illegal situation.
I would like to remind that when one wants to settle in a country, before requesting rights, one must express duties toward the Republic. The first of these duties is to respect the law.
France is very generous with asylum seekers. Numerous reception centers exist, and financial aid is provided to the applicants.
The Alpes-Maritimes department, due to its geographical location, is an entry point for many asylum seekers and does not have the capacity to accommodate all these individuals.
I am pleased that justice has condemned this show of force.โ€
