During the Closing Speech of the Transition Forum, the launch of a metropolitan barometer on the website of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis was announced.
This is a first in France, and this tool allows for the quantification of progress and efforts in each area of ecological transition by providing precise analytical elements. Thus, it will evolve based on new data and methods, as well as new fields of action identified.
This selection of indicators presents four initial themes of the ecological transition of the territory:
- Air quality
- Sustainable mobility
- Revegetation
- Energy
Other major themes of the barometer will soon be presented.
This barometer therefore indicates the areas where the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis has progressed or regressed in different fields of expertise such as transport usage, electric charging stations, road traffic, bike path permeability, energy consumption, and more…
Regarding the objectives of the Climate Plan 2019-2025, it is noteworthy that there has been a 14% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2019, with a target of a 22% reduction by 2026.
