Starting today, Monday, August 30, major construction work will disrupt the railway line between Nice and Ventimiglia.
For 8 months, the train line from Nice to Ventimiglia in Italy will be significantly affected.
Indeed, until April 2, 2022, several construction projects will take place, particularly in the tunnels of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cimiez. The tunnel in Villefranche will be reinforced and its track renewed, while in Cimiez, there will be traffic development work.
As a result of this work, train circulation will only be possible on a single track between Nice and Eze-sur-Mer.
At the stations of Nice-Riquier, Villefranche-sur-Mer, and Beaulieu-sur-Mer, boarding and disembarking from trains will occur on the same platform, regardless of the destination/direction. This will be on track 1 from August 30, 2021, to January 23, 2022, and then on track 2 from January 24 until the end of the work.
