In 2025, Nice Airport maintains its position as a favorite on Google.

Latest News

In 2025, Nice airport retains the top spot in Google’s French rankings. Toulouse-Blagnac shares the same rating, but the Riviera site stands out with a greater number of reviews submitted.

Large airports do not always equate to satisfaction. Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly remain the country’s most frequented platforms. Together, they welcome over 100 million passengers each year. However, in the 2025 reliability and satisfaction ranking, they only occupy the 19th and 20th national spots.

On the other hand, some more modest sites achieve good results. Pau Pyrรฉnรฉes, Montpellier Mรฉditerranรฉe, and Toulon Hyรจres perform better than the Parisian airports in terms of punctuality. And when it comes to evaluating the quality of passage for travelers, Nice-Cรดte d’Azur comes out on top once again.

According to research based on the 100 most frequented European airports, Nice’s site receives a 3.9/5 rating on Google. It shares this score with Toulouse-Blagnac but ranks higher due to the volume of reviews left. In Europe, it occupies the 42nd place.

An appreciated airport despite its delays

The paradox is real. In 2025, Nice is ranked as the least punctual airport in France. Yet, it remains the most appreciated by travelers. Its strengths: cleanliness, modern facilities, shops, and the smoothness during check-in and security control.

Accessibility also plays a role. The airport is served by the tramway and several bus lines. Travelers also highlight the view offered over the Cรดte d’Azur bay during landings and takeoffs. A setting that contributes to the site’s reputation.

Toulouse-Blagnac is just behind. Reviews emphasize its small size, proximity between parking and boarding areas, and an atmosphere considered calmer than in large hubs.

The national ranking in 2025

The French top 8 based on Google reviews is as follows:

  1. Nice-Cรดte dโ€™Azur (3.9/5)
  2. Toulouse-Blagnac (3.9/5)
  3. EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (3.8/5)
  4. Paris-Charles de Gaulle (3.65/5)
  5. Lyon Saint-Exupรฉry (3.5/5)
  6. Marseille Provence (3.3/5)
  7. Nantes Atlantique (3.2/5)
  8. Bordeaux-Mรฉrignac (3/5)

At the European level, Nice gains a place compared to 2024. Toulouse progresses by two ranks. Basel-Mulhouse gains four. The major French hubs like Roissy remain in the middle of the table.

Beyond the rankings, Nice maintains its role as France’s leading regional airport. In 2023, it welcomed over 14 million passengers. In 2024, Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur airport recorded a total of 14.8 million travelers, surpassing the 2019 level.

Growth mainly concerns long-haul connections. Flights to North America and the Gulf are multiplying. “Directly connecting the Cรดte dโ€™Azur to major cities in the region and international capitals is a necessary and sustainable response to the need for mobility,” highlighted Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aรฉroports de la Cรดte dโ€™Azur.

Work is underway on Nice’s Terminal 2. A new international boarding area will open in 2025. An extension planned for 2026 aims to increase the annual capacity to 18 million passengers.

An announced environmental strategy

Aรฉroports de la Cรดte dโ€™Azur claim to continue their ecological transition. Since 2013, their direct emissions have allegedly been reduced by 93%. In 2024, the first aircraft stand electrification works were initiated. The announced objective: a reduction of 6,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Similar projects are being developed in Cannes and Saint-Tropez, with the use of alternative fuels. In parallel, a reforestation program allowed the planting of 4,800 trees in 2024.

Solidarity is not forgotten. In partnership with Restos du Cล“ur, 75,000 items banned in cabins were collected for redistribution, an increase of 9% compared to 2023.

Nice Cรดte d’Azur airport thus maintains a positive image among travelers, despite its chronic delays. Toulouse and Basel-Mulhouse also confirm their attractiveness. Bordeaux, however, needs to catch up.

Competition among French airports remains fierce, driven by issues of comfort, accessibility, modernization, and respect for the environment.
