In Lucéram, the nativity scene tour will be held virtually.

In Lucéram, a village in the Alpes-Maritimes with 1,200 inhabitants located 25 kilometers from Nice at an altitude of 650 meters, the 23rd edition of the Crèche Circuit was from December 5, 2020, to January 10, 2021.

It was, because large gatherings have been canceled. This year, due to Covid-19, large gatherings are prohibited, and the event is canceled.

Lucéram is known for its nativity scenes that have made it famous. For 22 years, you can find them everywhere, in the smallest corners, and visitors come from afar to appreciate this journey. Each edition, 45,000 people wander through the village alleys, searching for nativity scenes in the most unexpected places. The “Christmas village” therefore hardly feels like celebrating after this missed appointment.

“In total, each year, 450 nativity scenes are displayed in the streets, in the cellars, on fountains, under porches, at the church, at the tower, at the chapels, at the bread oven, at the Nativity Scene Museum, the Museum of Old Tools, at the Country House, at the Placette, with merchants, at the Val Del Prat mill, and at Peïra-Cava,” notes the Regional Tourism Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes.

Additionally, within a few days, a website will offer internet users a virtual tour that respects the crèche circuit, with a retrospective of images and videos.

Stay tuned on December 6 for the arrival of Saint Nicholas!
