This Sunday at 3:30 PM at the Basilica of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, the musical association M.G.Art presents a choral concert in memory of terrorism victims.
This concert, under the theme of brotherhood and solidarity, is organized for the benefit of the National Federation of Victims of Accidents and Collective Accidents (FENVAC), in partnership with the Promenade des Anges association and under the patronage of Alpes-Maritimes Fraternité.
On the program:
The Missa pro consolatione by Laurent Coulomb (2016), for soloists, choir, and 2 organs (2016), written in the wake of the Nice and Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray attacks.
The Requiem by John Rutter (1985), one of the most popular sacred works of the 20th century, presented in its intimate version for soprano, choirs, and instrumental ensemble.
The Ars Vocalis choir, conducted by Florence Daly, as well as soprano Amy Blake and mezzo Olga Singayivska, will be accompanied by musicians with prestigious backgrounds: organists L.-C. Giraud and St. Catalanotti; Fl. Bontron, V. Tizon, and C. Bontron-Maudire, soloists of the Cannes Orchestra; A. Bonifas, co-soloist of the Nice Orchestra, and A. Ramos, professor at the CRD of Cannes.
