During the Mobility Awards 2010 ceremony organized by Ville, Rail & Transport magazine, which took place in Paris on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community was awarded the “Innovation Prize.”
This prize recognizes policies in technological innovation, ticketing, electronic payment systems, or information and operating systems.
It once again acknowledges the successful deployment and operation of “contactless” services offered to the residents of Nice since last May – particularly for travelers on the Lignes d’Azur network – as part of a large-scale operation integrating “contactless” technology.
The “Innovation Prize” rewards Transport Organizing Authorities in this regard.
Ville, Rail & Transports has been organizing this ceremony annually for nineteen years, during which the best initiatives by Organizing Authorities are recognized. The awards are given by a jury of experts and professionals.
[1] Nice Côte d’Azur received the “Network of Sustainable and Innovative Cities” award last October during the 5th National Conference of city centers.
