The 22nd edition of the National Taste Week is being held until October 23. In Nice, numerous activities are organized throughout the week in schools as well as in early childhood establishments for children from Nice.
Taste every time!
Locally, the taste week was launched this Monday by Lauriano Azinheirinha, Deputy Mayor for Education and Youth. A lunch featuring the discovery of ingredients used in the “recipes of our Nice grandmothers” was offered by Chef Ratatouille to the children of the Aire Saint-Michel school.
Furthermore, a contest for the best recipe of the week will take place in 14 schools in the city of Nice. Each day, students will rate the dishes they have tasted and will choose their favorite dish at the end of the taste week!
The little ones participate within the city of Nice’s nurseries in discovery workshops and shows. This Wednesday, October 19, at 2:30 PM, the children of the Terra Amata nursery will have the pleasure of participating in cooking workshops, flavor discovery, tasting, etc.
Development of a quality nutritional policy: a priority in Nice.
The city of Nice wants all young people from Nice to learn to “eat well.” To combat nutritional disorders, it is indeed essential to know good dietary habits.
In this spirit, the Deputy Mayor has decided to create a Scientific Council on Nutrition, tasked with ensuring the quality of school meals, which have been managed by the municipal authority since last July 4. In addition, a proactive nutritional policy is being implemented, with the collaboration of a dietitian and a pediatrician, within early childhood establishments.
