In Nice, Rudy Salles opts for Nicolas Sarkozy

Latest News

The Deputy clearly explains his choice by stating, “Of the two candidates who will present themselves for our votes, only Nicolas SARKOZY makes commitments that align with my battles. On the other hand, the left-wing program (allied with the far-left) concerns me because it will exacerbate our country’s economic problems by excessively increasing state spending.” A choice that seems economically driven and thus brings Rudy Salles closer to the support team for candidate Sarkozy: Christian Estrosi, Jacques Peyrat, and Jérôme Rivière.

The announcement comes as no surprise just a few hours before the debate that will take place between Ségolène Royal and François Bayrou, who, for the moment, seems set to mark a certain rapprochement with the Socialist and the Centrist who has just freshly created his new Democratic Party which could well be the fuse for the UDF house. In the meantime, a new Orange deputy will join the UMP clan to the great delight of candidate Sarkozy, who sees another centrist elected official joining his ranks.

In Nice, as everywhere else, the battle of the second round is fierce, and each party tries to play its best cards to win this presidential battle. But the verdict is not yet final in either camp and even though Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes are areas expected to be for Nicolas Sarkozy, the Socialists hope to scrape together the few points that could build their national victory.

So, the appointment is set for next Sunday, May 6th, at 8:00 PM!
