This evening from 6 PM at Acropolis, the Victoires du Sport will take place, which, as every year, reward the champions from Nice who distinguished themselves during the past sports season. World or European Champions, French Champions, national cup winners… The line-up will be among the best for this 2012 edition! Join the Facebook group for the Victoires du Sport
Last year, medals were in the spotlight, but in this Olympic year, it is London that will be the destination of this event that will once again combine sport, spectacle, and emotions. Over 50 disciplines represented and hundreds of Azur athletes will be rewarded during an evening in which sports and Nice athletes will be honored with a retrospective of the best moments of sporting life in images and artistic and sporting performances.
Like last year, it is Christophe Josse, the voice of sports on Canal +, who will officiate at the microphone to host this evening, the highlight of which will be the unveiling of the Champions of these victories in the Women, Men, and Handisport categories. The public’s choice was officially finalized last night and is mixed with the votes of the press XV composed of local and national sports journalists. Among the women, who will take the podium out of Camille Muffat, Charlotte Bonnet, Nastasia Noens, Adeline May, or Nadia Vigliano? Among the men, the competition will be tight between Yannick Agnel, Sofiane Milous, Loรฏc Pietri, Jean-Pierre Dick, and Baptiste Mourrain for the three places, while in the handisport and adapted sport categories, the final three places will be contested by Benjamin Landier, Robert Sellem, Teddy Damilano, Sylvie Allena, and Cyril Zimmermann.
In addition to the Olympic theme of the evening, the theme of the Francophonie will naturally be added, as the next games will be held in Nice in 2013. It is an opportunity to learn more about one of the next major sports events in the City of Nice and many wonderful surprises on the Acropolis stage.
This event is free with a simple presentation of an invitation available at the main town hall, in the annex town halls, and at the sports department at the Jean Bouin sports palace.
So, what are you doing tomorrow night?
