The 2014 edition of the Rendez-Vous des Associations is likely to be quite memorable with a new concept and new activities that will delight both young and old. Commemoration of the Great War, a big Niçoise cuisine contest, and a plastic cap collection will enrich the already well-stocked program of this unmissable event in the Nice and Azuréen associative life.
A date is set for this 18th edition on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 10 am to 6 pm, at the Palais des Expositions in Nice for a day between memory, flavors, and generosity.
Once again, the City of Nice has sought to honor and highlight the work of the associations of Nice and the Côte d’Azur, with its 30,000 volunteers who selflessly dedicate themselves for the benefit of all citizens.
With 250 stands for over 300 exhibitors, the Rendez-Vous des Associations is a true showcase of the richness and quality of the local associative environment, which is why the City of Nice, particularly aware of the value of this investment, has chosen to support it through its municipal delegation to Associative Life.
This year, three new features will be added to the already packed program of the day:
The commemoration of the centenary of the Great War in memory of those who fought for France at the risk of their lives through exhibitions, conferences, and many other activities.
The final of the “Chef for a Day” cooking contest, which will allow the grand winner of the big Niçoise cooking contest to be decided, live and in public.
A large collection of plastic caps to provide equipment for people with mobility impairments.
As every year, the Rendez-Vous des Associations will offer numerous activities and shows from the forecourt of the Palais des Expositions to the artistic podium, passing by the tatami mats and sports areas, and will allow a free discovery of the richness of the cultural and sporting associative fabric of Nice through all its dynamic associations.
Dance, capoeira, percussion, judo, badminton, first aid, gospel… There will be something every hour and for all tastes during this new edition of the Rendez-Vous des Associations, a true crossroads of the Nice and Côte d’Azur associative life.
