Dear children, do you love cartoons and their heroes?
Dear parents, do you want to see your children captivated, curious, and entertained?
Then let yourself be drawn in, from the small to the big screen, on Wednesday, November 10, and Saturday, November 13, 2010, from 2 to 6 PM at Place Masséna, into the magical world of cinema and its creation process, through a rich, playful, and free programming!
Workshops will allow children to learn different animation film techniques.
They will discover the zoetrope (an optical toy that creates the illusion of motion) and other mysterious objects such as the flipbook and the thaumatrope, ancestors of the cinema we know today.
They will then give free rein to their imagination by creating their cartoon from scratch: after making 24 small drawings, they will place them in the designated slots. The movement of the zoetrope will then bring the sheets of paper to life, revealing a real cartoon!
Finally, like Arthur shrinking in the world of the Minimoys, a pixilation workshop will allow them to become, for a few seconds, the hero of a small animated sequence.
The youngest can draw and color their favorite cartoon characters. A professional makeup artist will transform those who wish into big screen heroes.
Like Alice, come with your family and dive into Wonderland…
“Nice Ciné Récré”, the cinema festival for young audiences, will take place on November 13, 14, 17, 20, and 21 in all cinemas in the City of Nice. It’s an opportunity to discover with your family a film program specially designed for young audiences.
Organized in partnership with all the cinemas in Nice, this event will allow young spectators from 3 to 18 years old to benefit from the exceptional and unique price of 3 euros, as well as for companions of children under 12.
