In a time when the increasing presence of large-scale retail is the natural ally of mass consumption, is there still room for niche products? Unfortunately, the answer is no!

However, in a few cases, there are still “rebels” who dare to challenge the laws of (modern) marketing and refuse standardization.

This is the case of Father Gil Fiorini, always on the lookout to shake things up.

His new initiative, while waiting for the social center that is under construction in the basement of the Saint-Pierre d’Arรจne church, is a store where it will be possible to buy monastic products from about thirty monasteries, abbeys, and other places of worship where the Rule of St. Benedict is practiced: “pray and work.”

The name chosen for this new venture? The Boutique de la Madone! Everything is said, no need for comments!

For sale, a selection of products made by monasteries and abbeys in France and Europe. The knowledge, know-how, and ancestral care of the monks and nuns ensure that these creations will provide complete satisfaction.

Creams, balms, lotions, herbal teas, flans, jams, honeys, terrines, all kinds of spiritsโ€ฆ A whole range for well-being and bodily health.

You will also find the entire “Pastis de Nice” family, including the “Pastis du Comtรฉ,” the “Pastis Pรจre Gil,” and soon the “Pastis rouge”… This good taste of pastis is available to you in nougats, calissons, biscuits, and even soaps!

But let’s not forget the “Lavender Liqueur,” the “Chicouloun Nssart,” the “Hypocras,” the “Gรฉnรฉpy” from our mountains, the whisky from the Highlands of Scotland, and the “Anisette d’aqui”…

Enough to delight the most demanding palates with these truly exceptional products, all crafted by monks or nuns often in an ancestral way.

For all those who want to combine the useful with the pleasant… in moderation!
