The city of Nice has decided to distribute four thousand “parking vouchers.” In collaboration with the merchants’ federation and the “Avenir Gambetta” association, they will be allocated to the clientele of the Gambetta Boulevard. The aim of this initiative is to encourage the return of tourists who had deserted the area.
After complaining about the bike lanes on Gambetta Boulevard, the merchants will be able to catch their breath. The Deputy Mayor of Nice, responsible for traffic, parking, and urban logistics, Gaël Nofri, aims to revitalize the area. “This operation was necessary to continue making Gambetta Boulevard attractive. It sends a positive message to the people of Nice who wish to enjoy this now tranquil artery and its shops. This distribution also aims to support the redevelopment and beautification of this boulevard while retaining customers.”
