The Ouvreurs announced that the Rencontres In&Out 2011 gathered 3,348 people over the 9 days of the festival, which is 971 more than last year, averaging 370 people per day.
At the end of this 3rd edition, the event has clearly found its place in the cultural landscape of Nice by attracting an incredibly diverse audience. People flocked to the various screening locations (MAMAC Auditorium, Le Mercury Cinema, Rialto, or Villa Arson) to meet the filmmakers present for the occasion: Joao Pedro Rodrigues, Céline Sciamma, Emilie Jouvet, Vincent Dieutre, and Louis Dupont, who all expressed great satisfaction with such a warm reception.
This positive outcome encourages continued efforts and affirms the desire to offer a film festival that supports films and filmmakers, reaching out to a broad audience. Passionate debates in the theaters continued during the traditional and friendly post-screening cocktails.
While the memory of In&Out 2011 is still fresh, the 4th edition of the meetings has already been announced and will take place in Nice from April 24 to May 2, 2012.
