Two tributes are paid, one to Magnus HIRSCHFELD, a Munich-based sexologist from the early 20th century who was among the first major activists for the homosexual cause, and the other to the French writer Hervé GUIBERT, for a body of work with words and images that are profoundly sincere.
Meetings are scheduled with filmmakers Sébastien LIFSHITZ, Panos H. KOUTRAS, Olivier DUCASTEL, Jacques MARTINEAU, Cynthia ARRA, Louis DUPONT, and Jean-Gabriel PERIOT (Carte blanche to Héliotrope), allowing for the exploration of numerous themes, including transgender issues, the deportation of “pink triangles,” the Queer cinematic revolution of the 90s, homosexuality in sports, and homosexuality as viewed from Greece.
For the ladies, In & Out has rolled out the red carpet with two premieres and a cult film, giving pride of place to lesbian cinema, which opens (Ghosted by Monica Treut) and closes (El niño pez by Lucia Puenzo) the festival. In between, you will have the pleasure of revisiting the ultra-sexy neo-noir Bound by the Wachowski Brothers.
A program that allows everyone to find what they expect or be surprised by the unexpected in a festival open to the city and the world.
