In response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 epidemic, the Government has implemented immediate support measures for businesses:
1. Extensions for the payment of social security and/or tax deadlines (URSSAF, taxes);
2. In the most challenging situations, reductions of direct taxes that can be decided upon following an individualized review of requests;
3. Support from the State and the Bank of France (credit mediation) to negotiate a rescheduling of bank loans with one’s bank;
4. Mobilization of Bpifrance to guarantee bank cash flow lines that businesses might need due to the epidemic;
5. Job retention within companies through a simplified and reinforced partial unemployment scheme;
6. Assistance in resolving disputes with clients or suppliers through the Business Mediator;
7. Recognition by the State and local authorities of the Coronavirus as a force majeure event for their public contracts. Consequently, for all public contracts of the State and local authorities, late penalties will not be applied.
