Today, Tuesday, December 20 at 10:30 AM, the new esplanade in Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée is being inaugurated. It is named Jean Pascal, in the presence of Colette Fabron, Mayor of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, and Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice.

Christian Estrosi visited Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée this morning to attend the inauguration of the new Jean Pascal esplanade. It is also an opportunity to inaugurate the new premises of the water service, as well as the sanitation of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, at Boulevard Maurice Rovery.

The new esplanade located at the Parvis of la Pinatelle is renamed in tribute to Jean Pascal, who passed away on June 3, 2020. He was the general councilor of the Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée canton from 1970 to 1994. He was elected many times within the City Council. A plaque will be unveiled today in his honor.

New premises for the water service are also being inaugurated today. Established by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, this facility is dedicated to the water and sanitation service agents in charge of the Haute Tinée sector. This new building, located on Boulevard Maurice Rovery, allows agents to work in better conditions. Offices, a living area, sanitation facilities, and a tool storage workshop provide optimal conditions for the service agents.
