On Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 3 PM, the children of Les Mésanges kindergarten will have the immense pleasure of unveiling their magnificent frescoes, created as part of a “school action” funded by the Urban Social Cohesion Contract – CUCS (with financial participation from the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, Acsé, and the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes).
These multicolored frescoes, created with the participation of the artist Béatrice Bailet and parents, depict insects and birds. They now adorn the entrance hall and the library of the school.
This project is part of a larger one, entitled “1000 Ways to Love and Respect Your Neighborhood.” Other actions related to the improvement and preservation of the living environment in the Ariane district have been carried out thanks to the support of institutional and associative partners: creation of mosaics, renovation of staircases in a thousand colors and totems in a school, installation of informational and decorative panels, creation of an educational garden, etc.
