This Saturday, February 3rd, on the eve of World Cancer Day, the Axel Kahn House opened its doors in the center of Nice, at 3 Alfred Mortier Street.
Formerly known as the Nice League Space, this location is now becoming the Axel Kahn House in memory of Professor Axel Kahn, former president of the League Against Cancer. His daughter, Cรฉcile Kahn, who was present at the inauguration, wishes to continue his mission as much as possible and carry on the fight her father started.
This space welcomes free of charge sick people and their caregivers daily, thanks to presenters, practitioners, and volunteers. The Axel Kahn House offers personalized support to improve quality of life at all stages of the illness. Whether you are affected by cancer or close to someone who is, their teams welcome you in a space dedicated to your needs and remain attentive to you.
To reach people who are sick, isolated, or unable to travel, a new home support system, “Proxiligue”, will be implemented at the end of February by the Committee of the League Against Cancer.
A Diversity of Support Offered
Within this new house, everything has been put in place to facilitate and assist people suffering from this disease. The house offers a variety of support. To participate, please contact the Axel Kahn House to make an appointment.
You will find a range of both individual and collective activities, including sophrology, reflexology, socio-aesthetics, as well as cooking classes, image consulting, and adapted physical activities. In addition, relatives of patients will have access to psychological consultations, nutrition sessions, and sophrology.
