The Bellanissa residence, located on Route de Turin in the northeast of the city, was inaugurated yesterday in the presence of several deputy mayors of Nice. A mixed operation initiated by the City of Nice and the Nice Cรดte dโAzur metropolis, it is part of a social diversity project.
This new residence, partly funded by the city of Nice, the metropolis, and the South region, addresses an important point desired by the city: affordable prices for owners and social housing for tenants. Since last December, some 65 apartments, including 29 for homeownership and 26 for social rental, can now be occupied.
Anthony Borrรฉ, the first deputy mayor of Nice, present at the inauguration, emphasized how โthe tenants and owners are lucky to live here, in such a projectโ.
Furthermore, these apartments adhere to a certain number of criteria, which the first deputy emphasized. Among these criteria are a minimum area to be respected (45 mยฒ for a two-room apartment, 65 mยฒ for a three-room apartment), a minimum area of 10 mยฒ for a terrace, but also facilities for bicycles, motorcycles, and green spaces.
โI believe in multiple operations; there are applicants for social housing, there are also housing applicants in general, there are students looking for housing, there are seniors looking for housing, and we need to respond to all these applicants and thus have mixed operationsโ.
โThis project is a reference. With the Mayor, we have a strong ambition based on the quality of the homesโ he stated during the inauguration before declaring โin Nice, we continue to believe that a positive discourse on housing is possibleโ.
