This Monday, Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, President of the Valberg Joint Union, and Stéphane Simonini, Mayor of Beuil, Vice-President of the Alpes d’Azur Community of Communes, inaugurated the climbing site “Les Barres des Passes du Cloutet,” rehabilitated and secured by the Valberg Joint Union as part of the departmental policy of sustaining outdoor sports.
This site, referenced by the French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (FFME), was created by Pierre Tardieu about thirty years ago. The work carried out has notably allowed for the creation of a beginner climbing site and the redevelopment of the existing site by removing all the old equipment. In total, 20 climbing routes will now be offered with a beginner sector and a sports sector for an intermediate level.
