Following the success of the exhibition “Jean Gilletta and the Côte d’Azur. Landscapes and Reports 1870-1930” at the Masséna Museum in Nice, which attracted over 30,000 visitors, specific exhibitions will be regularly organized in the municipalities of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis that were captured through Jean Gilletta’s lens.
The first part of this collection, titled “The Landscapes of Jean Gilletta,” will be held in Auron Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée until April 15. The inauguration of the exhibition will take place this Saturday at 5:30 PM, followed by a New Year’s ceremony.
Jean Gilletta was the most renowned landscape photographer in the Southeast of France. It is also a photographic publishing company created in 1881 by Jean Gilletta, known as “Giletta Frères Éditeur.” It still exists today and is among the oldest French publishing houses.
