This Monday, April 8th, the French Red Cross complex located in L’Escarène is opening its doors in the presence of Christophe Mirmand, Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes, Eric Ciotti, Deputy, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, Professor Jean-François Mattei, President of the French Red Cross, and Doctor Pierre Donadey, Mayor of L’Escarène, 1st Vice-President of the Community of Communes Pays des Paillons, along with Mr. Jean-Claude Guibal, Deputy Mayor of Menton.
This complex combines a medical care home and a living facility.
56 adult residents with intellectual disabilities will be able to benefit from day care, temporary, emergency, or full-time boarding, as well as personalized support and ongoing medical follow-up. By bringing together different groups, the most dependent individuals will be able to benefit daily from the dynamic environment created by the more autonomous ones.
An adapted environment
Located in a green setting with a clear view of the hills, the site in L’Escarène offers a peaceful environment, ideal for the well-being of a population often in distress. The proximity of the train station facilitates access to the site, both for residents and for visits by their families.
