This Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 10 a.m., the mosaic decorations created around the Alain Lefeuvre municipal library by about sixty residents, aged 7 to 77, from the Moulins neighborhood, will be inaugurated.
Between February 2010 and December 2011, the association Mosaïcités organized weekly workshops. Throughout the project, participants designed and created books and letters that now adorn the forecourt of this place dedicated to reading.
By beautifying the living environment in a participatory manner, this initiative also promotes notions of respect for public and communal spaces, citizenship, and involves residents in the beautification of their living space.
These actions help create social bonds and foster intergenerational exchanges, introduce participants to a creative and rewarding artistic activity.
