The number of people relying on food aid has been continuously increasing in France over the past three years.

In order to assist this crucial network in the fight against hunger, the Deputy Mayor of Nice and the President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes jointly committed last July to each covering 50% of the rent for the new premises of the Food Bank located in Lingostiรจre.

This new effort corresponds to a tripling of the subsidies allocated by the City Hall of Nice and the General Council since 2008 (โ‚ฌ50,000 in 2011 for the City of Nice and โ‚ฌ65,000 for the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes).
