This Thursday, March 28, Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, as part of his actions in favor of seniors, will inaugurate the new Departmental House of Seniors in the center of Nice.
The Departmental House of Seniors was created to meet the needs of seniors. This new space, opened in the heart of the current Department House in the center of Nice, will make life easier for them by taking into account all their concerns and assisting them in finding care solutions.
The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes aims to allow seniors to stay at the heart of social life.
The very first House of Seniors was established in April 2011 in Nice in the Cessole district. It has since experienced considerable success.
In 2012, 2,385 seniors were received for physical reception. The telephone calls amounted to 3,637, making a total of 6,022 seniors.
Very diverse activities have been set up, such as computer initiation, cooking classes, gymnastics, languages, as well as trips and walks. Many seniors have volunteered to share their experiences in these different fields.
