The gendarmerie has, at the Nau barracks, a sports field used for the gendarmerie’s sports activities, which required a complete rehabilitation to allow the nearby Jean Giono College to have a sports field for the teaching of physical education and sports disciplines as part of the school curriculum.
The rehabilitation of this sports area also allows the military to have a space for sports practice, particularly for the CCPM tests (Military Physical Condition Control), outside of school hours.
The work, entirely funded by the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, has allowed the development of the sports area as well as sanitary facilities.
