On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the Lenval Foundation, the Nice artist Stรฉphane Bolongaro inaugurated his artwork yesterday afternoon, in the presence of Philippe Pradal, as a tribute to the fight of children against illness.
This artwork, created as part of the 130th anniversary of the Lenval Foundation, is offered by Stรฉphane Bolongaro, an internationally renowned contemporary artist from Nice.
By donating this sculpture representing a whimsical character, the artist addresses children and hopes to inspire in them enough imagination to see in it a friend or, even better, a superhero they can identify with.
This sculpture, which reflects the humor of its creator, is very much in the spirit of the times. It is intended to distract the child, their family, and the healthcare staff from fear and attempts to save them from tragedy by opening a window onto a world full of fantasy.
“With Totor, illness goes away! If Totor has charmed you, itโs because you have kept your childlike spirit. Totor sends illness to oblivion,” the artist declared. The strength of a character wanting to bring joy to children!
