Christian Estrosi announced that the president of the Republic will be visiting the Alpes-Maritimes this Wednesday, October 7th. This visit aims to demonstrate the State’s support in response to the exceptional situation affecting the department since Friday.
A few days after the visit of the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior, Emmanuel Macron will go to the Alpes-Maritimes this Wednesday after the Council of Ministers, during which the state of natural disaster will be validated.
For now, solidarity is being organized in the department to aid those still isolated in the Valleys. On Sunday evening, the human toll established by the firefighters still counted eight people as “missing” and 12 others as “being searched for.” Two bodies were found in France and four others in Italy.
