The price of gasoline in France has seen a significant increase in recent days. Various reasons can explain this. Among them, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

To address this issue, we interviewed people who might be affected by this increase and tried to get their opinions. Among them is Christophe, who says, “I am not really affected, as I use my car very little.” According to him, “I see the displays at gas stations.” The increase not only concerns fuels but also ”food,” “DIY,” and a range of sectors.
Another person named Sonia also gave us her opinion on the matter; for her, “the increase in prices has a direct impact on my purchasing power.” “Less budget for groceries” “or for other expenses”. The third individual interviewed states, “we can’t do anything anymore.”
To cope with these increases, new alternatives are being proposed, particularly by the Nice metropolitan area, which supports and promotes the transition to electric. Buying cars would be a positive step for the environment, but the individuals we questioned seem attached to the traditional car.
