In a sluggish economic context, the independent bookstore shows its dynamism and vitality as well as its capacity for innovation by organizing the Independent Bookstore Day every year. For the 2014 edition in Nice, the organizers want to go further…
Indeed, to give more importance to this day, the association “Libraires ร Nice” in close collaboration with the “Association des Editeurs des Alpes Cรดte d’Azur” (AEACA) is organizing meetings in bookstores between local authors and the people of Nice.
Through this friendly action, together booksellers and publishers demonstrate their desire to maintain social bonds, to show that it is possible to unite and collaborate to clearly display our commitment to perpetuating culture, heritage, and local publishing!
For the occasion, each bookseller will set up a “regional table” and, as far as possible, special displays will be arranged. For example, the BD Fugue Cafรฉ bookstore, Place Saรซtone, will offer a window space to the Nice artist Patrick MOYA for his exceptional 3D printed figurines.
It should also be noted that this event is set to be repeated every year, as we have no doubt about its success… Traditionally, booksellers offer a rose to their female customers. This will, of course, still be the case this year.
