Independent Winemakers Fair: Another Great Vintage in Nice.

Latest News

The Independent Winegrowers’ Fair has set up shop at Acropolis until Sunday. It’s an opportunity for everyone to discover or rediscover the fabulous French wine heritage.

Known for its wine heritage, not everyone is familiar with all the French wine regions. The Independent Winegrowers’ Fair is here to remind you of that. From red wine, white wine, rosé, to late harvest, professionals from all over France will gather at Acropolis until this Sunday for one of the largest tastings in the region. At the entrance, organizers will offer you an Inoa glass to tour the country in just a few hours.

From an enlightening journey to Burgundy, passing through Bordeaux, and ending in the Loire Valley, there will be plenty of excuses to indulge your taste buds. 11 regions on the program: Alsace-East; Bordeaux; Burgundy-Beaujolais; Champagne; Charentes-Poitou; Jura-Savoie; Languedoc-Roussillon; Provence-Corsica; South-West-Armagnac; Loire Valley-Vendée, and finally the Rhône Valley. A pleasure for the palate, all in moderation, of course. You won’t be disappointed with the journey.

Today, winegrowers have three key principles: responsibility, commitment, and professionalism. The first for their quality of work and respect for the environment, the second for the use of innovative methods, and finally the last one emphasizing that these winegrowers know their trade perfectly, from vineyard management to welcoming and selling wine to our clients. A global vision with a desire for independent viticulture. These wine professionals have their own Charter, which stipulates, among other things, that they must “work the vine, harvest their grapes, vinify and age their wine” and “respect their territory.”

Nice is the first of the five stops of the Fair. After the azure city, the winegrowers will set up in Strasbourg (February 15-18), Lyon (March 15-17), Paris (March 22-25), and finally Bordeaux (April 5-7), the Mecca of French wine.
